Veganske fritule s Figgyem

Ingredients

• 400 g wheat flour

• 1 dl soy milk (warm)

• 4 tablespoons coconut sugar

• 2 dl hot water

• 1 cube yeast

• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

• 1 teaspoon lemon zest

• A few drops of essential orange oil

• Pinch of himalayan salt

• 2 tablespoons rum or brandy

Preparation

To prepare vegan fritters you will need two big bowls and a big pot.

In the first bowl mix yeast, warm milk, and sugar and sprinkle it with a spoon of flour. Leave it at warmth for 5-10 minutes.

In the second bowl mix flour, sugar, salt, and water and stir lightly until you obtain a thick mixture. Add developed yeast to the second bowl and after that the rest of the ingredients: oil, lemon zest, sweet orange essential oil and rum or brandy. Mix all together.

Put frying oil to the bigger pot. When the oil is warm enough, take a small amount of the fritter mixture with a small spoon and put it into the oil. Fry until the fritters become brown.

Tasty fritters are best served with Dida Boža Figgy spread. Bon appetit!
